If any items aren’t clearly described, ask for a revised written inventory that lists exactly what’s included, excluded or negotiable, with details such as model, quantity and, where relevant, serial numbers. Request updated photos of each item and ensure those images are attached to the contract or a formal addendum. Clarify which items are transferable and under what conditions, and specify what happens if an item is damaged or missing at handover. If you’re negotiating price or terms, tie those terms to the inventory in writing.
